Problem statement: Find new ways to help mid-career professionals with work experience to change tracks.
How might we assist the user in getting ideas from their social network?
Methods: Focus group interviews, User journey, Wireframing, Prototyping.
The resulting design has been described as both entertaining and productive, providing an effective means to collect pertinent data for addressing users' problems. It serves as a tool to navigate a psychologically challenging phase in one's professional life.
My clients feedback: The well-balanced was praised as well as the semi-gamified aspect of the design. They also highlighted the innovative benefit of involving one's close social network.
There are already many services for those who are new to the job market, but few are specific to mid-career professionals with work experience who need to change tracks.
How might we create a relevant tool to help them?

I mapped the relevant part of arbetsformedlingen.se to see what tools were already available and analyzed how they functioned.
I interviewed five individuals aged 26 to 43, including two men and three women.
The interviews revealed :
The choice of a new profession can take time
Many conducted extensive research
Many spoke with trusted individuals before making their final decision about the next profession.
The user journey shows that interactions between the user and their social network can be further enhanced so that the user make the right choice faster.
I designed a new tool to complement Arbetsförmedlingen's toolkit. This tool presents a series of professions one by one to the user, allowing them to indicate their interest or disinterest before the next one is displayed. Notably, the tool is innovative in that it is easily shareable. Users have the option to invite their relatives, friends, and colleagues to suggest potential professions.
I created elements in Figma using Arbetsförmedlingen's own design system, which is available online.
I worked with Autolayout and Components to structure the workflow and minimize the risk of errors. This resulted in increased efficiency.
I also created text and color styles that matched those in AF's design system.

Users feel comfortable with a concept they recognize from other industries.
Creating a prototype is more effective when there is already a documented design system.
Working alone can be fast sometimes, but it is very important to be able to discuss with others when needed.
